Seema leaders reach capital to meet T panel

People seeking a Greater Rayalaseema state and unified state have gone to Hyderabad to express their demands before the Srikrishna Committee whose members are arriving to Hyderabad on March 4.

The Rayalaseema Lawyers Association will demand separate Greater Rayalaseema state and have already prepared reports to submit before the committee.
They said that they would ask committee members to consider and recommend to the Centre to release a special package for Rayalaseema’s development, a second capital and a High Court division bench if formation of a Greater Rayalaseema state was not feasible. Student organisations have also prepared several reports to explain that development is possible only if Telugu speaking people remain in a unified state. They will show details of fund allocation to Telangana by the state government after the Telangana movement. They said that they would submit video clippings and newspaper cuttings to the committee to explain how Telangana leaders were threatening non-Telangana people who have gone to Hyderabad in search of a livelihood after state formation.
The Rayalaseema Hakkula Ikya Vedika is also getting ready to meet the Srikrishna committee with a demand for a special package for Rayalaseema development if state division is imminent.
