Centre to start T-talks in Jan The Centre will start the process of consultation on the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh in the first week of January.

T-group calls for bandh on Dec. 30
The Telangana Joint Action Committee (JAC) has called for one-day Telangana bandh on December 30 demanding that the Centre initiate the process for Telangana statehood immediately.
The JAC, which met for six hours at Hotel Golkonda on Sunday, resolved to take the agitation to the villages by organising protests on December 28 and 29. The JAC decided to exert pressure on the Speaker to accept the resignations tendered by Telangana MLAs.

The Telugu Desam turned up at the JAC meeting after the Congress decided to gradually pull out of the committee.

Narasimhan takes oath as Governor
E.S. Lakshmi Narasimhan was on Monday sworn-in as the Governor of Andhra Pradesh following N.D. Tiwari's resignation in the wake of a controversy over a sting operation purportedly showing him in a compromising position with three women.

Vijayashanti my 10th sister: KCR
The Telangana Rastra Samiti MP, Vijayashanthi, met the TRS chief, Mr K. Chandrashekar Rao, on Sunday at his residence. The meeting lasted for over an hour.

Later, Mr Rao told reporters that Vijayashanthi had decided to work with the party and the JAC to achieve Telangana. He said he had no differences with her and the problems cropped up due to “miscommunication” which has been resolved now. He described Vijayashanthi as his “10th sister”. The TRS chief has nine sisters.
