Loyalists advise Jagan to mend ways

Around 15 MLAs who are close to the rebellious Kadapa MP, Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy, are planning to advice him to change his attitude towards the party high command and the president, Mrs Sonia Gandhi.

A couple of state ministers enlightened these MLAs on the blunders being committed by Jagan through his ongoing Odarpu Yatra and cautioned that unless he became less hot-headed and changed his behaviour, his political future would be wrecked.

“We all have sympathy for Jagan and we wish him success in politics, but if he doesn’t mend his autocratic behaviour it will be difficult for us to support him,’’ was how a minister put it.

The group of MLAs also met the ministers, Mr Vatti Vasanth Kumar and Mr Botsa Satyanarayana, separately.

They promised the ministers that they would meet Jagan in a couple of days and bring pressure on him to change his attitude.

In fact, the panchayati raj minister, Mr Botsa Satyanarayana, had on Sunday condemned the comments of Mr Jagan against the Chief Minister, Mr K. Rosaiah, and had also questioned his claim of being the sole ‘heir’ of Dr Y.s. Rajasekhar Reddy.

“I agree that Jagan is the legal heir of late YSR, but he cannot claim he alone is the political heir of YSR,” he said.

“We are all political heirs of the late leader. It will be better for Jagan if he changes his attitude.”
