KCR warns of repercussions

The Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) president, Mr K. Chandrasekar Rao, on Tuesday threatened repeat of incidents that shook the Telangana region in last December, if the Kadapa MP, Mr Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, carried on with his proposed visit in the region. Talking to the media here, the TRS chief warned of serious consequences if the proposed tour was not cancelled.

He found fault with the state government for not stopping Mr Jagan though the situation was not conducive for such a tour.

“Just to give a few lakh rupees, the government is spending nearly Rs 30 crore for providing security to Mr Jagan. Let him call the affected families to Hyderabad and handover the money. It is not correct to allow him to tour the region,” KCR said.

He asked his partymen to organise protest rallies and dharnas to stop Mr Jagan from entering the region. He dared the government to go ahead and give protection to the “young” leader hurting people’s sentiments.

“Warangal people already made it clear by participating in a bandh,” he said.
