The Rayalaseema Hakkula Ikya Vedika convenor, Mr T.G. Venkatesh, said lawyers of Telangana region should beware of the Telangana Rashtra Samiti, Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao, who he alleged would dupe them.
Speaking to newsmen here on Sunday, Mr Venkatesh said this had became clear to students and several political leaders. He said some lawyers of Telangana region were resorting to attacks due to KCR and added that it was not good.
Mr Venkatesh said tension would build up due to atta-cks and cause great harm.He said it was wrong on the part of lawyers to go to the protest staged by the Telugu Desam and Left parties on price rise.
Mr Venkatesh also said it was not proper for the TD activists to attack lawyers when the police personnel were present. He said lawyers should put forth their arguments before the Srikrishna Committee in-stead of attacks.
Mr Venkatesh said KCR, who had previously oppo-sed the committee, was getting to ready to submit his arguments before it.
He said if backwardness to be the cause for formation of a separate state Rayalaseema state should be formed first .
Mr Venkatesh said that Telangana would not be formed with resignations and opposed the proposal to field members of the bereaved families in the byelections.

KCR, Vijayashanti not to resign now
Telangana Rashtra Samiti president K. Chandrasekhar Rao dropped hints that he and his party MP Vijayashanti might not resign their membership of Parliament immediately in order to avoid simultaneous elections to their seats along with twelve Assembly constituencies where sitting MLAs have recently quit.
In an informal chat with reporters, Mr. Rao said he had his own strategy on vacating the seats of TRS in Parliament. Now that twelve MLAs have resigned, Mr. Rao said the Election Commission will notify polls to them. He would wait until they were over and he and Vijayashanti could quit later. “The idea is to keep the ball rolling,” he remarked to convey the point that the TRS aimed to keep up the pressure of separate Telangana on the Centre.
Asked if he would not attend the budget session of Parliament, Mr. Rao said it did not matter to him as the issue of Telangana was the be all and end all for him.
Earlier, he said there was no way the MLAs of Telangana could get away without resigning to mount pressure on the Centre. They will all have to resign as people will not tolerate if they did not quit. In any case, the Telangana Joint Action Committee (JAC) will take a view on Tuesday on what was to be done to make them resign, Mr. Rao said, replying to a question at a press conference on Monday.
Complimenting the large number of lawyers from Telangana who tried to surge towards Parliament House in New Delhi defying the police, Mr. Rao said it could have been avoided if a Union Minister was deputed to talk to them before the procession began from Jantar Mantar. It was unfortunate that not even Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram, a lawyer himself in the Supreme Court, met them.
One of the participants, Srinivas Reddy, suffered a heart attack after the police used water cannons to disperse the crowd. He was admitted to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in New Delhi where his colleagues were taking care of him.
Another blow
Mr. Rao said the recent merchant power policy of the State government was another blow to Telangana as it deprived the AP Genco plant at Nedunur in Karimnagar district access to natural gas from KG basin though the pipeline passed close by. The plant would have to process liquefied gas to meet its fuel needs which resulted in escalation of generation cost from Rs. 7 to Rs. 9 a unit. However, the government extended to the private sector belonging to coastal districts natural gas for its power utilities to limit generation cost to just Rs. 3 a unit.

Telangana: 15 MLAs submit resignations
Rejecting the terms of reference of the Srikrishna Committee appointed to go into the issue of separate statehood, 15 MLAs from the Telangana region, including those of the ruling Congress, on Sunday submitted their resignations to Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker.
The MLAs — 10 from TRS, two from Congress, one each from BJP and TDP and Praja Rajyam — met Speaker N. Kiran Kumar Reddy here and submitted their resignations.
The legislators said they resigned in order to mount pressure on the Centre to take immediate steps for the formation of a separate state.
“We gave our resignation unconditionally. He (Speaker) called us individually. We stressed on accepting our resignation. We hope many others would resign by Sunday evening or on Monday,” senior Congress MLA R. Damodar Reddy told reporters.
Though two more Congress MLAs had announced their decision to quit on Saturday night, they, however, did not turn up on Sunday.
Asked if they would attend the budget session of assembly beginning on Monday, Mr. Reddy replied in the negative.
TRS MLA and party president K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s son K.T. Rama Rao said his party would now go to the people and work relentlessly for realising the goal of a separate Telangana.

KCR to wait for three months
The TRS president, Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao, on Saturday once again said that his party legislatures and MPs would submit their resignation if the terms of reference of the Srikrishna committee were not in favour of creating Telangana.
He further warned that if the time frame given to the committee is beyond three months his party would launch an agitation and force MLAs of other parties to also resign.
He was addressing a gathering at a book release function of former deputy chief minister, Mr K.V. Ranga Reddy’s autobiography.
He made it clear that his party would not agree for the demand of Hyderabad as a joint capital for Telangana and Andhra even after the separation of the state.
He demanded that Telangana should created on the boundaries which existed on October 31, 1956 and said that there was no dispute between Andhra and Telangana on boundaries.
He said that his party will not object, if people of Andhra want Bhadrachalam for themselves.
He appealed to their party men to condemn the propaganda of United Andhra leaders that 40 lakh Andhra people were residing in the city.
Mr Ajit Singh, leader of Rastriya Lok Dal, criticised the Centre for not to responding on the Telanagana issue till it turns to be a law and order problem.

Quit by Jan. 28, KCR tells leaders
The TRS president, Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao, on Saturday said elected representatives from ward members to MPs who fail to resign by the January 28 deadline will be taught a lesson by the people.
“You will know on January 28 who are for Telangana and who are against it. We cannot achieve statehood unless we create a constitutional crisis and force the Centre to carve out separate state,” he said.
Mr Rao said the police is against people of Telangana region. He said a case was booked against his daughter Kavita for giving a call to boycott the screening of Jr NTR’s Adhurs.
“Formation of Telangana is inevitable. There is no question of people of two
regions living together after all the injustice done to the region,” he added.
Meanwhile, Mr Rao skipped the Mahbubnagar district review meeting convened by the Chief Minister on Saturday. Sources said Mahbubnagar was strategically selected to “expose” Mr Rao over issues such as drought and welfare programmes.
