Leaders seek action on Chirala MLA

The Telugu Desam, the two Communist pa-rties, Dalit and other organisations are going to take out a protest rally and conduct public meeting at Ongole on February 26 seeking action against the illegal activities of the Chirala MLA, Mr A. Krishnamohan.
The TD state spokesperson, Mr P. David Raju, the former MLA, Mr E. Haribabu, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) district secretary, Mr J. Anjaiah, the Communist Party of India leader, Mr M. Venkaiah, the Bahujan Samajwadi Party convener, Mr A. Chennaiah and leaders of other organisations alleged that the atrocities of the MLA had increased in Chirala area, hence government should appoint a sitting judge of the High Court for enquiry.
They demanded that the administration book an SC/ST atrocity case against Mr Krishnamohan for constructing a house on occupied village land of Pandillapalli.
They alleged that the MLA was carrying out land settlements, sand quarrying and land encroaching illegally, hence state government should terminate his membership of the Legislative Assembly.
The group further alleged that Mr Krishnamohan had illegally acquired 2,500 acres of land in the name of VANPIC. They said that former home minister K. Sivaprasada Rao and TD state leaders were going to participate in the rally and the meeting.
