OU exams postponed yet again

The Osmania University has postponed all the exams scheduled on February 22 and 23. However, the engineering exams will be conducted as scheduled.

The university has also cancelled the weekend contact classes of the university’s Centre for Distance Education scheduled on February 21.

Meanwhile, the university’s peace committee constituted by the government held its first meeting on Saturday and discussed the steps to be taken to ensure normalcy on the campus.

However, the first meeting was marred by protests as students reached the administrative block of the university raising “Jai Telangana” slogans and demanded Vice-Chancellor, Prof Tirupathi Rao, to extend support to the students who planned to lay siege to the Assembly.

Tension prevailed as some students damaged the VC’s car. However, the police intervened and dispersed the agitating students.
