KCR to be quiet till Jan. 12 on T

The Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) president, Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao, has decided to keep quiet till January 12 to allow the Centre to prepare a mechanism for granting statehood to Telangana.

The TRS chief is planning to meet the Prime Minister on Sunday evening.

The Joint Action Committee (JAC) of political parties has been convened on January 12 to chalk out the future course of action.

“We wanted to create peaceful and congenial environment for the Central government to take forward the Telangana issue. We are confident of a positive result,” Mr T. Harish Rao, TRS MLA told this newspaper.
