Sunitha, a resident of Christian Colony, was found dead in the sump around 6 pm along with her daughter.
According to the Vanasthalipuram police, Sunitha married one Prasad around two years ago. A suicide note purportedly written in Telugu by Sunitha asked her parents to forgive her and mentioned that her husband took good care but she did not want to live.
The Vanasthalipuram SI, Ch Ramaiah, said the couple’s was a love marriage.
“The sump was a closed one with a manhole,” he said.
The incident came to light when Prasad, a lab technician, noticed the bodies in the sump. The bodies were shifted to the Osmania General Hospital for autopsy.
The Vanasthalipuram police registered a case under 174 CrPC (suspicious death).
