ACB denies allegations of TRS president

Director-General of Anti-Corruption Bureau K. Aravinda Rao on Tuesday denied allegations made by Telangana Rashtra Samiti president K. Chandrasekhar Rao that ACB had received instructions from the government to prosecute noted TNGO leaders for their active participation in the Telangana agitation.

In a clarification, he said it was “totally untrue” to say that the ACB had receive any instructions to harass the TNGO leaders.

“It is also untrue to say that such instructions were given to field officers during the ACB meetings.”

The DGP described as “unfortunate” that a senior leader chose to make some damaging allegations against ACB, which “undoubtedly are incorrect.”

He pointed that ACB was a professional organisation where officers of all regions were working and the field officers were mainly from the native ranges/districts.
Computing procedure

“The computing procedure for identifying the disproportionate assets is very scientific and it cannot be misused.”
