Malayalam film actor Archana Kavi will be among the tweeples attending the Twestival in Kochi this evening.
Confirming her attendance, Archana Kavi told The Hindu that she was maintaining a twitter account and participating in the twestival in Kochi so that she could get direct response from her fans about her films and be in touch with the younger generation.
Archana Kavi is one of the two Malayalam actresses maintaining active twitter accounts, the other being Rima Kallingal. Both Archana and Rima had shot into fame recently through their role in 'Neelathaamara’ scripted by M. T. Vasudevan Nair and directed by Lal Jose.
About 50 tweeples from across the State are attending the twitter festival which is being held at a somwhere Else café, touted as Kochi’s only free wi-fi café. It will be a meeting ground for tweeples who, otherwise, know each other only through their social media accounts. Members of the public are also expected to attend the festival. The proceeds from the Twestival will be used for child welfare.
Besides Kochi, Twestivals are being held in Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Goa, Kolkata, and Mumbai today, organiser of Cochin Twestival Sajan Mani said.
