Arshad-Asin star in Chashme Buddoor remake

David Dhawan is all set to remake the 1981 Faroque Shaikh and Deepti Naval-starrer Chashme Buddoor, directed by Sai Paranjpe. While initial reports claimed that David had finalised Riteish Deshmukh for the lead role, the latest buzz is that he has zeroed in on Arshad Warsi and Asin. Shreyas Talpade has also been signed to play the character of Ravi Baswani in the film.

“David initially wanted to work with Riteish, but things didn’t work out. David was only too happy to sign on Arshad, who is on a new high after Ishqiyaa’s success. Everyone is curious to watch the unusual pairing of Arshad and Asin. The script is being rewritten to appeal to the modern day audience. The film is scheduled to go on the floors by June.
