T-activists burn cutouts of Adurs

With a few hours left for the release of Junior NTR -starrer Adurs, some pro-Telangana activists damaged the movie’s cutout at Nagender Theatre near Saroornagar on Tuesday. The movie is scheduled to be released on  Wednesday.

The Saroornagar police said four persons involved in the incident - Anand, Zaheer, Sandeep Reddy and Pandu, all TRS activists - were arrested and sent in remand. All the four went to the theatre around 1:30 pm and suddenly burnt the posters and cut-outs of the movie set up there,’’ Inspector Srinivas Reddy told Expresso. A police team on guard near the theatre nabbed the accused who reportedly raised slogans against Jr NTR and other Telugu actors who expressed their support to united AP. The incident caused panic among the public in and around the threatre.

Many pro-Telangana outfits, including the Telangana Jagruthi led by KCR’s daughter Kavita, have threatened to stall the screening of the movie across the Telangana region. The incident took place after DGP R R Girish Kumar assured security during the screening of the movie.
