Two suffer burns in yagna

A purohit and a 65-year-old person sustained burns after the purohit’s cloth caught fire from the flames while they were performing a yagna at the latter’s house in Sundarnagar here on Sunday.
Vijay Raj of Sundarnagar, called the purohit, Surender of Golnaka, to perform the ritual.
The Kacheguda police said Surender’s silk cloths caught fire from the flames that sprang out of the hom kund. Vijay Raj, who went to Surender’s rescue, too sustained burns. Both the injured were rushed to the OGH.
Elsewhere in Alwal, two persons, including a CRPF constable, suffered burns after a LPG cylinder attached to a LPG-converted car caught fire. The victims were identified as, Chandrashekar Rao, CRPF constable, and his brother-in-law Ravi Shankar. The duo were rushed to Gandhi Hospital and their condition is reported to be stable.
