We will contest T-bypolls: Moily

The Union law minister and AP Congress affairs in-charge, Mr Veerappa Moily, on Wednesday announced that the Congress party would field its candidates in the coming by-polls in the Assembly constituencies that fell vacant due to the resignation of 12 TRS, BJP and TDP legislators.

“We being a national party cannot sit idle in any elections. There is nothing wrong for a political party to contest polls whenever they are held,” Moily told newsmen here.
Referring to reports that the Chief Minister, Mr K. Rosaiah, was planning a reshuffle of his cabinet, Mr Moily said, “it is the chief minister’s prerogative, whether or not to go for expansion. Let him come to us with his proposals, we will discuss and decide.”

Replying to a question, Mr Moily said the government would introduce the Women Reservation Bill without any changes in the Lok Sabha when it reconvened next month.
