The SSC examinations that were postponed because of the curfew in parts of the city will now be held from April 9, the director of government examinations announced on Saturday. The next exam of Social Studies Paper II will be held as per the original schedule on April 6.
The Mathematics Paper II exam, which was postponed in the curfew zones on March 30, will now be held on April 9. The General Science Paper I and II, which were scheduled for March 31 and April 1 and were postponed across the 410 centres of the twin cities, will now be held on April 10 and 12 respectively.
The Social Studies Paper I will now be held on April 13. All exams will be held between 9.30 am and 12 noon. Students who could not sit for the Mathematics Paper II exam on March 30 due to the curfew, will have to fill an applicat3ion and submit it to the chief superintendent along with their residential address and phone number to be allowed to sit for the exam on April 9, when it is conducted again.
“These applications will be printed and kept ready with the chief superintendent, who is the head of the examination centre. Students should fill this application when they go for their exam on April 6 and submit it to the chief superintendent,’’ said Poonam Malakondaiah, director of school education. She said students would be required to give their residence address in the application form.
