The Chief Minister, Mr K. Rosaiah, on Sunday asked the district collectors to be on high alert to tackle issues related to monsoon.
He also wanted the agriculture department to be prepared for meeting the requirements of farmers in the ensuing Kharif season.
The Chief Minister inquired about the preparedness of the officials for the successful conduct of “Rythu Sadassu”, (farmers’ conventions) scheduled from June 7.
The Chief Minister said not a single farmer should be left out in accessing state assistance with regard to distribution of subsidised inputs such as seeds and fertilizers besides agricultural credit.
The Chief Minister will launch the conventions by participating in one event in Bapatla in Guntur district on June 8.
Mr Rosaiah also directed the officials to be ready with the action plan to prevent and control water-borne diseases and outbreak of epidemics.
