KCR fumes over DS candidacy

The Telangana Rashtra Samiti chief, Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao, launched a scathing attack against the APCC president, Mr D. Srinivas, for the latter’s attempts to contest the bypolls from Nizamabad Assembly constituency and for his failure to submit a petition to the Srikrishna panel in support of Telangana.

“Mr Srinivas shamelessly plans to contest from Nizamabad. Let’s see if he gets votes or cow dung (peda) on his face. I requested him to submit a memorandum to the Srikrishna panel but he excused himself saying he is the president of the Congress for the entire state. He showed his true colours,” Mr Rao fumed.

Mr Rao was speaking at a function to welcome the TD and PR leaders from Sircilla and Karimnagar including the Karimnagar ex-ZP vice chairman, Mr Laxma Reddy into the TRS.

He did not spare other party leaders either. He attacked the TD chief, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu, for trying to lead the Telangana TD and the Andhra Telugu Desam, the Praja Rajyam chief, Mr K. Chiranjeevi, the Congress MP, Mr Lagdapati Rajagopal, and the TD ex-MLA, Mr T. Srinivas Yadav, for their anti-Telangana stance. He also criticised other Telangana leaders from other parties for taking back their resignation.

“I told them several times not to get scared over the resignation. If they had resigned like the Andhra leaders did, Telangana would have been a reality by now.”
