APSRTC cuts fares in city, Ranga Reddy

With an unprecedented fall in the occupancy ratio after the hike in fares, the city region of the APSRTC was forced to reduce the charges with effect from April 7.

The new fare will be Rs 5 as against Rs 7 for the third stage in ordinary buses. The RTC has slashed fares by Re 1 for the remaining stages of ordinary buses as well as metro express and metro deluxe services. The fare revision will benefit commuters of Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy regions.

The APSRTC has also fixed Rs 400 as the fare for the Garuda bus service between Shamshabad airport and Vijayawada. It will collect Rs 60 from passengers traveling to LB Nagar.
