Tata Docomo on Thursday launched its operations in the hill State.
Addressing a press conference here, Chief Operating Officer for North India Aditya Gupta announced its industry-changing pay-for-what-you-use model in Himachal Pradesh, which included the game-changing per-second pulse and a plethora of innovative applications and services. The company's pan-India service rollout, which was kicked off in June 2009, would be completed this year itself, he said.
‘Buddynet'
Tata Docomo is also launching India's first mobile community in Himachal Pradesh ‘Buddynet' wherein members will enjoy never-before calling rates within the community, one paisa for four seconds for local calls and one paisa for two seconds for STD calls. ‘Buddynet' members will also get free access to social networking sites like Face book, Twitter, Orkut, Linked-In and Nimbus. The company has earmarked an investment of $2 billion on its pan-India GSM network rollout.
