NRI molested in city hotel, man arrested

The Osmania University police arrested a 24-year-old hotel receptionist on Saturday for outraging the modesty of an NRI woman late on Friday night. He was identified as Ashwin Kumar. He worked as a receptionist in Swagath Grand Hotel at Habsiguda.

Police said that a 26-year-old woman, a resident of Singapore, called the receptionist to find out how to make an ISD call. As ISD facility was not available, Ashwin said she could use his phone and pay the bill.

Ashwin then went to her room and she made a call. After 20 minutes, he called her room and said that she had got a call from the number to which she spoke earlier. Ashwin tried to molest the woman when he took the cellphone to her. A case was registered.
